Paris ain't short of drinking opportunities - I've pulled together a handy map (which you can find here) showing just a few of the nightlife hotspts. My own favourite bar - Cafe des Anges, about half way up Rue de la Roquette in the Eleventh Arrondissement - a small brasserie with great food and a very cool young crowd.

Never been to the Cafe Des Anges, but I like the Frog pubs. It's a chain of proper English boozers, think theres four or five of them, but the best by a mile is the frog and princess on Rue Princess, near place st germain. Small and fun. Check out the bilingual quiz night on Sundays. Great stuff.

I'm a big fan of the Bastille area. There are lots of bars in a small area, which makes it easy to move on or have a happy evening bar crawling. Rue de Lappe is a particularly busy street with bars pretty much all the way along. The fact that Bastille is on so many Métro lines makes it easy to meet friends from across the city and get home too! Always good..!?
